Please deal with thieving syndicates

EDITOR — Each time I move around down town especially around the Gulf area I always observe that there are many thieves that operate in this area because of high volumes of people.
Just last week I noticed three men who were standing on the pavement as if they wanted to cross the road.

Then one of the men stopped a passer-by trying to make conversation. As the two were talking, the second man went through the pockets of the passer-by and took out a wallet.  He handed over the wallet to the third man who walked away. I realised that the three men were thieves and the passer-by had just lost his wallet. The trio disappeared for few minutes and reappeared.

This pained me and I thought that I should warn others as they pass through this place. Let us keep our money and important documents in safe places and avoid conversations with suspicious people.
I hope as the police man the place against vendors around this place, they should also be on the look-out for thieves. We depend on the police to help us on this issue. People who do business around this place know these people but there is nothing much they can do except to warn people.

Cash is hard to come by and for someone to just steal it is just unfair. This place needs more police attention.
