Lasting solution needed in fuel crisis

EDITOR — The resurfacing of fuel queues has become a cause for concern.

The fuel situation seems to improve for a few days when queues become shorter but after a while long and winding queues resurface.

Government needs to find a lasting solution to this fuel crisis.
Because of the shortage of fuel, the cheaper government buses that were servicing most routes have been reduced as most of them spend time in fuel queues.

As a result of the reduction in number of buses many kombis have increased fares by more than 100 percent citing fuel shortages.

In all these problems, it is the ordinary person that suffers the most.

Something needs to be done urgently to bring normalcy to the fuel situation.
