HARARE - South Africa-based rapper King98 is set to release No Bad Vibes, a song he collaborated with Nigerian star Davido, on Monday.

The song was recorded sometime last year but the musician has decided to release it this year, together with the video.

The video was shot in Nigeria.

Real name Ngonidzashe Dondo, King98 was born on January 1998, he attended Eastridge Primary School before proceeding to secondary schools in form of Watershed College, Riverton Academy and Sandon Academy.

“Though we used to rap at school with my friend Tinashe, I was really inspired by the American rapper Asap Rocky, Rocky, Davido, Drake and Cassper Nyovest,” King98 said.

“I chose hip-hop genre because that’s where I can fully express myself and it gives me the desire and passion to keep fighting in life.”

“On my collaboration with Davido ...what happened was that Davido’s personal assistant Aloma heard a song I made when I was with Ali Keys, my producer.

“Aloma fell in love with the song and said Davido would definitely also love the song. After Davido heard the song, he invited me for a collabo,” he said.

King98 who hopes to be a powerhouse in African music in the next five years shared the stage with Davido in Nigeria on December 27.

“Davido is a humble person, he invited me to his house in Nigeria and he showed me around Lagos and he wants to promote my music and brand so that I can be big in Nigeria.

“My message about my music is to inspire everyone around me that dreams come true and God is in control.”
