Mugabe 'stops' minister from telling all on war hero's death

HARARE - Defence minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri has made sensational claims that she was stopped dead in her tracks by former president Robert Mugabe over an explosive book that she had written regarding the disputed circumstances surrounding the death of liberation icon Josiah Magama Tongogara.

What stops her from re-writing the book or telling-all now, an explanation as to why Mugabe grabbed the one copy she had written would suffice and may bring closure to Tongo's family. It has always been public private information that she was in the same car when the alleged accident that killed Tongo happened. It is also very public information that Mugabe's then aide and intelligence supremo was her current boss. It is also public knowledge that Gen. Tongogara was not only a military wit but full of foresight and focus thats why he wanted Zanu and Zapu to contest the 1980 plebiscite as one Patriotic Front which would have set Zim on a good footing for success. For that Zanupf with its leadership then and today eliminated him (Tongo) for Oppah to then come out today and try and blame all on Mugabe is frivolous.

Mugabe is now senile and nearly finished, so why doesn't this woman come out with the story. Mugabe had Tongo murdered, everybody knows that - it just needs clarification and confirmation. Oppah don't keep quiet.

Is that so? - 28 December 2018
