MPs' cars to gobble $20m

HARARE - Treasury is set to splash over $20 million on top of the range vehicles for Members of Parliament and Senators in the ninth Parliament. This is at a time when government is struggling to mobilise resources to contain a cholera outbreak that has since been declared a national disaster.

yah. the fact that no party is talking about reducing the parliamentary seats number and abolishing senate thus reduce the unnecessary expenditure gobbled by these useless skunks shows zimbos are now immersed in the culture of freebies. for a me a parly of 150 mps inclusive of chiefs is quite okay given our economic polition. 300 is an insult to the poor.

What is new on this development ? ZANU PF government will proceed with their plans whether you like it or not. Now that elections will only come in 2023, the MP and Senators are now doing their things in one accord. Those differences were only to get votes from us. Now its time to make money and get rich.

The Zimbabwean Parliament should revert back to 120 mp's' We must have a 15 member cabinet, we must abolish the post of provincial Minister, we have a mayor an MP in those areas, SO why do we need to have Provincial Minister. We must also have one VP in Government. We don't need career politicians. Chamisa should prepare for this, not these ZHANU people.

Another litmus test for Mthuli, is he going to avail the funds for the cars. All zanupf MPs were given all-terrain campaign vehicles and most of them got vehicles from the 8th Parliament. In a space short of time they can all open car hiring services. While the voters go back to their abject poverty life styles as they wait for 4 years before the same MPs come back to them with a bag of rice cooking oil and beans seeking another 5-year mandate.

You are a disgrace to yourself habib marwaan. You just wrote that shit comment to make sure you say something bad about ZANU PF and good about mdc But your foolishness is on why do you want ZANU PF to have one VP when your mdc chamisa has 3 VPs?

Are you all aware that these vehicles are not given free? Actually these vehicles are given on loan and the beneficiaries will pay back to the Treasury the money advanced to them in the form of vehicles. So I dont see anything to cry for unless they were given free.

Parliamentarians and senators ' payment and perks have nothing to do with cholera . If you have run out of news please leave blanks on your paper . If you are serious about your concern , lets see you giving your salary to support the cholera fight . All you know is blaming others and not yourself .
