Food processor launches new products

HARARE - A new food processing company has launched an assortment of condiments which will soon hit the supermarket shelves.

The Harare-based company, Simplitude PVT LTD, has introduced an array of products under the brand name, Easy Peasy.

The products include a range of pre-prepared chopped, sliced and ready-to-go cooking ingredients.

Chipo Ruhukwa, the company’s chief executive said: “The products will help you prepare tasty meals quickly and with less fuss. Our range includes chopped garlic, chopped ginger, and chopped chilies. We also have infused oils, and hot sauces.”

The products were launched at the weekend in Harare. Top artistes Jah Prayzah and Prudence Katomeni-Mbofana made special guest appearances at the launch.

Ruhukwa, who has just returned from the Diaspora after spending 30 years in the United Kingdom said: “Having lived abroad where these products are readily available, I thought I would introduce these easy ways to cook to the Zimbabwean market.”

We call upon diasporans to emulate such challenging ventures. Our local retailers should support these new entrants by adjusting purchasing and debtor payment policies.
