Khupe opens new party offices

BULAWAYO – Expelled MDC deputy president Thokozani Khupe has opened new party offices in the Bulawayo central business district.

As her split with MDC president Nelson Chamisa became imminent last month, a faction led by Khupe took control of the party’s Bulawayo provincial offices, but was ordered to vacate by the High Court.

While the Khupe camp complied with the order, yesterday her personal assistant Witness Dube confirmed occupying new offices.

“Our use of new offices in town is a measure we had to take especially for preparing for congress since Bulawayo is the hosting province,” Dube told Southern News.

“After our 21 April extraordinary congress, we will definitely revisit the Chamisa cabal’s usage of our party offices ahead of a congressional and Constitutional acting president of the MDC-T, Khupe, whom we expect to be affirmed as the substantive president of our party,” he said.

Their new offices are on the first floor of Centurion building, corner 9th Avenue and Herbert Chitepo.

Khupe, organising secretary Abednico Bhebhe and party spokesperson Obert Gutu were expelled from the MDC last month for defying a national council resolution endorsing Chamisa as president.

Her allies dismissed the expulsions as null and void, instead, opting to go for an elective congress that is ostensibly meant to elect the former deputy prime minister as substantive MDC leader.

As if that is not enough, Khupe, Bhebhe and Gutu were expelled from Parliament after being recalled by the party.

As a result, they ceased to represent the MDC and its interests.

Khupe has also notified the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission that she will be contesting in the harmonised elections as an MDC official.

KHUPE and your team. Time is running out for you. You are wasting time than just registering a new party and campaign under a new flagship. Wake up and start selling your own brand. You're in denial. WAKE UP and prove that you are worth the salt. take a leaf from Joyce Mujuru, Welshman Ncube, Elton Mangoma, just to name a few. My advice... Read "Who moved my cheese". Move on!

Thats good strategy Khupe, your faction must show respect for constitution and peace. This will differentiate you from those other holigans : Zanu coup-led, Mdc alliance coup-led. As people of Zim we need change but not for the sake of it but for the better. 2018 elections are already going to Zanu we know, there after you will witness massive splits in that alliance, that will put you in good position for 2023 victory.

Thokozan Khupe, you are really a sellout. You mean to say all the thousand of MDC supporters who died throughout the country under the ZANU PF brutality died for nothing. You should cogitate you are a full grown up person who should think about the large suffering of the Zimbabwean populacy. You want to exchange democracy for money. I know that you are payed by ZANU PF inorder to sabbotage an MDC part which want to eradicate: poverty, corruption , poor governance , prostitution as well as other uncouth practices brought about by this current regime .I DO PROMISE YOU Dr Khupe to do away with these malpractices you are pursuing and collaborate with President Chamisa.
