Mabelreign UMC hosts golf day

HARARE - The Mabelreign Circuit United Methodist Church (UMC) is set to hold its second edition of the Annual Golf Day at Warren Hills Golf Club to raise funds for their development projects.

Funds raised at the event set to be held on September 29 will go towards building a house for the parish’s pastor, who is also responsible Nyabira, Mount Hampden, Darwendale and Para Inkomo.

The church’s fundraising and investment committee chairperson Nico Kuipa said: “We started this project last year by acquiring a stand from the proceeds of the 2016 Golf tournament...as part of our reaching out to the community we live in, a portion of the proceeds were also donated to one of the orphanages in Nyabira.

“Our goal is to raise funds which will be used to complete the construction of a parsonage (pastor’s house.  We welcome any donations in cash or kind towards this gold day. This may include building materials or items that can be auctioned to raise funds on the day.”

The Mabelreign UMC is located at the corner of Helena Road and Lomagundi Road just after Greencroft Shopping Centre and is one of the areas under the Zimbabwe West Annual Conference of the United Methodist.
