Let's shun corruption

EDITOR - Zimbabwe is past the tipping point of no return as far as corruption is concerned.

I can’t understand how our president and some of his ministers can stand before the public and say they are busy trying to fight corruption when the situation is so bad.

Corruption and rot in this country lies so deep we can do nothing about it anymore.

Many of us who are informed in this country know there is no way that this country can revert to the olden days if the government does not deal decisively with the issue of corruption.

Zanu PF enjoys the support of the majority of the citizens of this country because of the cruelties of the past regime.

Corruption is so rife you can see many kombis that do not have even permits or licences but they are able to operate day in and day out paying their way through roadblocks and council officials.

Even the issue of vendors also shows that someone somewhere has been turning a blind eye while the number of vendors increase in the central business district.

Now they start saying vendors should leave the city centre.

From every ministry in the country, corruption is ringing, corruption is now rife.

From mining sector to agriculture everything is down. The Chiadzwa diamonds did nothing in our country only a few are benefiting from it.

Despite the good rains that are falling right now and the government’s effort to provide inputs, some people have already started looting the inputs and reselling instead of giving those who are in need.

Agriculture is now on its knees, influential leaders are misusing money for agriculture.

The evil has won, attacking and destroying all that was good.

It will not stop until all is destroyed in the name of money and greed.

These people are merely trying to make the public think that running a country is very difficult, while we know it is not if everyone concentrates on the job at hand and not on the public purse.

Government must deal decisively with corruption and we should all shun it. - Admire
