Creative Marketing Indaba on the cards

HARARE - Zimbabwe will this week hold a Creative Marketing Indaba aimed at coming up with new strategies to revive the country’s ailing economy.

Simon Bere, one of the organisers of the event said the major goal of the conference was to move Zimbabwe towards crafting a highly effective, results generating, integrated marketing system for the country.

“This is the first marketing indaba of its kind and very important because it focuses on one of the most important pillars on economic success that has been ignored for a long time and to the detriment of economic progress,” he said.

The conference brings all economic stakeholders from decision-makers, all professionals, marketers, business owners and business leaders as well as academics and students to share leading edge marketing strategies and to address marketing issues that impact success at personal, organisational and national levels.

“All key economic stakeholders such as the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries, Buy Zimbabwe, Retailers Association, ZimTrade and Universities have been invited and are participating,” Bere said adding that high profile experts in strategy and marketing will speak at the conference.

Some of the speakers expected at the conference include marketing gurus such as Doug Mamvura, Maxen Karombo, Juliet Ziswa, Tracy Mutaviri, University of Huddersfield (UK) lecturer Ernest Kadembo and Herbert Nkala.
