Romain Virgo to rock Black Opal event

HARARE - Jamaican music star Romain Virgo will add lustre to the Black Opal Face of Zimbabwe (Bofoz) finals set for the Glamis Arena in Harare tomorrow.

The Cry for Tears singer, who will be making a maiden performance in Africa, will share the stage with local stars Soul Jah Love, Freeman, Jah Prayzah, Dobba Don, Judgement Yard, Gary B, Templeman and Probeatz.

The glittering line up of entertainers has been roped in to provide the perfect platform for the crowning of this year’s Black Opal Face of Zimbabwe. Tomorrow, 11 beauties will battle it out for the coveted crown.

Members of the public have played a part in selecting the winner via an SMS platform. The SMS voting campaign for the finalists ended on Wednesday.

Bofoz spokesperson Tanaka Ngorora shed light on how the winner will be determined. “The final winner’s score will be an aggregate of 50 percent SMS votes and 50 percent Judge’s score at the grand finale. One lucky SMS voter will win a Toyota IST to be drawn at the Glamis Arena through a lottery,” he said.
