Magaya opens Yadah Village

HARARE - Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries founder Walter Magaya opened the church’s multi-million-dollar Yadah Village in the Prospect area of Waterfalls, Harare.

Magaya said what has been happening in his life has challenged him to transform the lives of his congregants.

“Kana ndakambopihwa shungu dzokuchinja hupenyu hwako (If ever I got challenged to transform your life) it was last Friday pandakareverwa nhema (when lies were said about me).

“From that week, I have learnt to value people as the majority stood by me.

“I know how you were shouted at in the ghettoes and on social media when you were trying to defend me.

“You have gone through a lot and I appreciate that,” Magaya said.

“The hotel was built in just four months but that period attracted new friends into my life and more enemies. It is common that if you are building something beautiful, be ready to fight . . .  I was shoved, pushed and tempted to speak.

“However, I am not a politician but man of God who was sent for a specific mission that is to give life on earth and secure your place in heaven.”

By yesterday, the hotel was 90 percent complete and the celebrations were graced by government officials, including  Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment minister Patrick Zhuwao and Tourism and Hospitality Industry deputy minister Anastancia Ndhlovu who praised Magaya for the initiative among others.

Superstar Oliver Mtukudzi, Mutare-based gospel artiste Blessing Shumba and Zimdancehall artiste Killer T performed at the celebrations.

The completion of the hotel gave Magaya ample time to concentrate on other projects, including his $90 million-dollar church building.

“Life is too short, full of tribulations hence I have learnt to move very fast.

“With the completion of this hotel, I am a little bit free to start the construction of the church in October as well as developing PHD Ministries partner’s houses countrywide and in the southern African region,” he said.
