Chiyangwa invited to Nigeria

HARARE - Zimbabwe Football Association president Philip Chiyangwa has been invited to Nigeria by is counterpart Amaju Pinnick for a meeting with Fifa boss Gianni Infantino this weekend.

Infantino and the new Fifa secretary-general Fatma Samoura will be arriving in Abuja this Saturday.

“This is to respectfully invite you to the Federal Republic of Nigeria to join the Nigerian Football Federation in welcoming to our great country, the president of football’s world governing body, ...Infantino and...Samoura and their entourage to Nigeria on a two-day working visit,” reads the invitation letter from Pinnick.

“The said visit has been confirmed for Sunday, July 24, 2016 and Monday, July 25, 2016. You are expected to arrive in Nigeria through ...on Saturday.”

While in Nigeria, Chiyangwa will be part of the NFF delegation that will meet the West African nation’s President Muhammadu Buhari next Monday.

The Zifa boss will also use his trip to foster a relationship with the NFF that will probably see the national teams from both countries regularly playing international friendly matches.
