Ngezi hold Chicken Inn

BULAWAYO - New boys Ngezi Platinum Stars managed to hold defending champions Chicken Inn during a Castle Lager Premiership match here yesterday.

Oozing with confidence after three wins in a row under new coach Tonderai Ndiraya, Ngezi showed no respect for the defending champions as they took them pound for pound.

After the match Ndiraya was pleased with his side’s performance.

“I think it was a difficult match. I want to give credit to my boys they played very well. We had a plan, am sure it worked and we got a point from defending champions. It is never easy playing away with champions,” Ndiraya said.

Chicken inn assistant coach Thulani Sibanda said: “I think we played well. We created so many chances but we just couldn’t score. The positive thing is we did not concede. We have been conceding goals and it’s good that we managed to rectify that.”
