Makandiwa prophesied Muchemwa death

HARARE - United Family International Church (UFIC) leader Emmanuel Makandiwa’s last year prophesied the death of Brigadier-General Felix Muchemwa who was buried at the National Heroes Acre in Harare last week.

In a YouTube video seen by the Daily News, the charismatic preacher prophesied twice in two days that Muchemwa would die despite efforts to airlift him to a Middle Eastern country to try and resuscitate him. Muchemwa died in Egypt two weeks ago.

Makandiwa delivered the prophecy on August 18, last year in Chitungwiza during one of his church services and followed it up with another prophecy on the same issue four days later at the church’s discipleship class.

The video shows him saying this on August 18, 2015: “I am seeing a prominent person being moved from one place to another and it’s in the sky . . . and there’s need for oxygen so that they can try to resuscitate the person . . .”

Makandiwa then unpacked the prophecy four days later, giving more details, describing the manner in which the late hero was to die.

“I know the person I am talking about and I know the exact time it will happen. I have tried to pray about it but I cannot see light.

“What can only happen is for it to be delayed and it would end up happening in a different place, no longer up there but down here, M. East” said Makandiwa in reference to the Middle East where the late brigadier-General passed away.

Makandiwa is seen in the video counting from one to twelve, an indication that he was referring to the 12th, the date on which the Brigadier-General died.

“The man I saw was like divided into two; one side was putting on white with the hand holding an injection. The other side was wearing a camouflage with the hand holding an AK47,” Makandiwa said in reference to the late hero’s life as a medical doctor and a military man.

Makandiwa also talks of the brigadier’s age at the time of his death.

“I saw him climbing a ladder and when he got to the 70th step, every step after that was now very fragile...”

Muchemwa was 71 at the time of his death.

In the video, Makandiwa goes on to state the initials of the concerned as F. Mu...

The wife of the late Brigadier-General told State media that her husband had suffered heart attacks (Cardio-respiratory attacks) and had been resuscitated twice but could not make it.

This seems to confirm the need for oxygen that Makandiwa had made reference to during the prophecy.

The prophecy comes hot on heels of other prophecies that the popular prophet has made in the past which include, the Heathrow Airport prophecy, Zambia Xenophobic attacks, The Cyril Ramaphosa prophecy and many more that the church’s TV channel, Christ TV has been playing of late and are also seen on social media, especially You Tube.

I wonder what the help would be. Why not just go to the person and tell him to sort his ways with God before he dies than to just tell us now that he saw the death last year? How does it benefit us?

Taneta nazvo mhani izvi! This con trick is losing its shine now, comeon. Who still buys this crrap? Wake up Zimbabwe. What does it benefit you to pay to be told this rubbish? Your lives are getting shittier and shittier by the day while you waste precious time listening to this dunce, who is out to milk your every last cent. Spend your time working hard and you will reap rewards, not listening to fake prophets and paying them to do that.

Martingee - 25 June 2016

They are lucky to have the name Jesus with which to con naïve people of the few dollars they still have. Why are they rich like politicians? These guys are crooks and Jesus may have been a crook himself, else why did they kill him? How can anyone explain the desire to kill a good person who woke the dead, healed the blind, had good social teachings and above all, was the son of God himself. Shouldn't we wonder why God allowed people to kill this crook who never worked for a living, only walked about, wasting time, with people who should have been catching fishing. These lies must end!

DR Dete - 25 June 2016

Please "prophets?" give us rest. Rather than sympathising with those bereaved you are busy glorifying yourselves? That's unethical and ungodly

Professor - 25 June 2016

Dr Dete you are walking on hot charcoal you don't have moral ground to criticise our Lord Jesus Christ. You are mortal, He is immortal. Better concentrate on things that you understand

Professor - 25 June 2016

Kana waneta nazvo izvi , gives us your prophesy and we follow you; foe now we follow what we know and who we know;

Oh! my God. You are so obsessed with Makandiwa prophecies. That is the reason why he even goes to the extent of telling you that gold shall be everywhere, he understand that you are too greedy and obsessed with things of this world. What is special about predicting the death of a sick person? So almost all doctors will be prophets. Where is our education if things can be misrepresented and we simply carry them on, just because an ordinary person like Makandiwa has said so. Even the Jewish state of Israel does not depend on prophecy for its security, it depends on security apparatus, backed by technology to provide up to date intelligence. You are in Zimbabwe and you want to tell us that we have prophets, why are you not updating us on Makandiwa prophecies which have failed to see day light. Give us a break, we are not so naïve to be told such silly things by a man on a mission to make as much money as possible. Some of you have even misunderstood the Bible to the extent that you have equated ZANU PF thugs to Jesus or sometimes Moses. Shame on you, you usable and discardable like condoms.

Matomboo - 25 June 2016

I feel threatened. You are forcing me to apologise which I do here by do not to Jesus but to Professor, in fear of not the charcoal but fanaticism.

mmmm egypt is now part of the middle east, here i was thinking its part of africa.

Chii chakurwadzai pana Makandiwa? Haana kuprophesiza iwe, haana kutora mari yako. Vamwe vanhu munonyadzisawo imi.

Weston Mugocha - 27 June 2016

In all the thirty plus years that I've lived, I've known Egypt to be in Africa, but alas, Egypt has, according to Daily News and Makandiwa, shifted from this continent to the Middle East! A case of abra-ca-dabra I suppose, hahaha. One question though, I would like to know if the reporter actually verified that the Youtube video was from last year's sermon.

Gulez - 27 June 2016

Thank You Lord for raising a prophet in our nation, may this be an eye opener to all those sons of Belial who are against the move of God

Alfred Hungwe - 28 June 2016

It doesn't even need a rocket scientist to know that Egypt is part of the Middle east. Please before you criticize something just do a little research otherwise everybody will know your foolishness. It's just surprising that of all the accurate details in this prophecy someone just decide to argue that Egypt is not part of the middle east. Grow up people. Love him or hate him but Emmanuel Makandiwa is a God ordained voice over this nation

Optimus Prime - 28 June 2016

People who are attending his church are at length or pains to establish and justifying why they are paying so much for a lavish life of Makandiwa. gifts and callings are without repentance says the holy scriptures. Even Jannes and Jambrees in the bible had their own tricks, they performed many wonders, difference between true prophets and those with gifts of prophecy is the message that they say. Makandiwa messages and prophecies are so carnal or human based they differ very little with analysis that may be made by a doctor over a sick person that he would need oxygen etc. Elijah prophesied and said if so ans so would do this he will survive. Why Makandiwa always prophesy on death and not on what should happen to avoid death. Many of his followers are busy glorifying the man on carnal or earthly vanities, what of spiritual benefit have they except to be told how they may enrich themselves yet in heaven not even a coin of your wealth is needed. He is busy coming with schemes of investments and so forth, yet son of man Jesus did not have even a shelter, he said the foxes have holes and birds nest but son of man nothing. He is more of the worldly carnal prophet like Balam focusing on prosperity is is the appeal to investment managers. wealth of Christianity is not cars and so on other wise Lazarus would be in hell, the rich young ruler in heaven. He may have a gift of prophet but definitely not a prophet. Why are his prophecy mentioned public after the event. before 2018 elections let him tell when and how it will happen. Before year end let him tell events of the future.prophecy does not make him holier than any of his followers

amina - 28 June 2016

Amina is right. The "Prophet" should be taken to task by the affected family. How can a true man of God find solace on the death of a fellow citizen in the name of prosperity gospel. These so called (Sorry for that) prophets need repentance themselves.

Professor - 28 June 2016

The Editor of the Daily News should consider charging the scribe for insulting clients. His obsession with Makandiwa has negative effects on the image of the media house.

Dreams - 28 June 2016

MUKURU UYU UNOWONA HATE HIM OR LOVE HIM...anooowooona!!!!

the Eye - 29 June 2016

Why do people hate so much? The Prophet prophesied and prayed for life and gave solutions to delay the death of General. He prophesied this almost a year ago and at that time there were no signs of sickness, General was fit. Even in the Bible, Prophets were told by God to deliver messages of death, it is not instilling fear but it is a privilege so that a person puts his life in order. If Zimbabweans really embraced the prophetic grace upon Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa then our nation could be in a better place economically, spiritually and even politically. From the very beginning, God dealt with Prophets and they know secrets of God. Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa is a Seer, just because he has not said something about you doesn't mean he did not see. some people are just too foolish to embrace the prophetic nomatter how accurate it is they just think it is guessing. Long live Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa, God's friend is in our midst. to those who want a full video of the prophecy you can search on youtube Christtv channel.

Gamu - 29 June 2016

in society there is never a place for plain uninformed hatred on another individual but still we find this rampant in Zimbabwe. What we lack as a people is factual debates that are constructive and beneficial which can actually enlighten the population. Analytical skills and investigative skills are key for everyone inorder to judge an individual especially those occupying public positions. I happen to be a critique of Makandiwa because i find most those things unbelievable . Am still not convinced about his ministry but i came across very reliable information that made me aware of the businesses that Makandiwa is doing as an individual, where he got the money...and approximately how much he makes. Personally , judging him business wise ...haaa varumeka tiri kutamba. Murume unobhindauka uya. Imbonyatsozvitsvagaiwo. Zvekuti anobira vanhu mari dzavo chokwadi ini handizive but thats what i thought. I can tell you for a fact that he was under audit by ZIMRA for about three and guess what...they could not find anything ....every transaction is recorded...the investigations by zimra were so thorough-3 yrs- and you know what ..ZIMRA was satisfied. This I know for a fact. zveminanawo eeeh ndoziva kuti bhaibheri rinodaro but hameno. Ma prophecy, going through the presented videos especially ya muchemwa iyi ...hameno it could be true ...i have actually been doing some thinking ...sometimes rumwe ruvengo harusi necessary ...what if we are wrong... I think we should always live room iyoyo kuti dzimwe nguva we are wrong about certain people

james gandawa - 29 June 2016

Garai ikoko - 29 June 2016

Whether its true or not taking it from the way the story was written it shows that there is room to doubt the prophesy. Remember the Bible encourages us not to just accept anything without comparing it with God's word. People should not throw tantrums, but how does such a prophesy compare with Elijah or other Bible prophesies. There no where in the World where you write what you want and expect citizens to keep quite, especially religious issues. Every true man of God should endure the heat in the hall of critiques first before approval. We cant afford having scribes who want to smuggle some church leaders into the hall of fame.
