Stunner in car crash, flees scene

HARARE - Urban grooves musician Desmond Chideme popularly known as Stunner yesterday cheated death in dramatic fashion after hitting five cars with a maroon Lexus he was driving along Jason Moyo Avenue, in Harare.

He immediately fled from the scene to a nearby doctor’s surgery where police followed him to record a statement.

Witnesses at the scene told the Daily News that as Stunner drove into Jason Moyo Avenue from Simon Muzenda (Fourth Street), he was speeding with touts and vagrants cheering him on.

He then tried to overtake a truck and lost control of the vehicle resulting in him hitting five cars that were parked along the avenue.

One of the cars he hit subsequently hit a pedestrian who was walking on the pavement.

Eyewitnesses said the car belongs to a local car dealer and Stunner was taking it for a test drive.

Some three men were seen milling around the scene, directing tow truck companies and making arrangements to tow away the cars.

Stunner recently posted a video and a picture of the car on Instagram captioned: “ They will become believers…but ndiri humble hangu#vVvtt#hatipfekejunk#hiphopzimbabwe…”
