Triangle wary of wounded Gamecocks

HARARE - Triangle coach David Mandigora says his team would not be lulled into complacency by reigning champions Chicken Inn’s faltering form when they clash in a Castle Lager Premiership match tomorrow at Luveve Stadium.

Mandigora, who joined Triangle at the beginning of the season, has been quietly going about his business with the Lowveld side where they have collected eight points from the opening five matches after registering two wins, two draws and one defeat.

The former Dynamos coach replaced  Zambian coach Kelvin Kaindu, who left Triangle to join How Mine after leading them to fourth place last season.

The Sugar Sugar Boys travel to Bulawayo tomorrow hoping to preserve their fine form.

Triangle come into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw against ZPC Kariba last weekend and Mandigora wants to see his charges keep on improving.

“What is important for us is to take game by game. All matches are important. We will try to take maximum points in our next game against Chicken Inn,” Mandigora told the Daily News yesterday.

After two straight defeats the reigning Premier League champions are in need of a lift against Triangle.

The Gamecocks unveiled former Warriors coach Rahman Gumbo as the new head coach taking over from Joey Antipas, and he could make his debut tomorrow.
