MDC MP charged with assault

HARARE - Zengeza East MDC MP Alexei Musundire was hauled before the courts yesterday after he allegedly struck a Chitungwiza resident with a golf stick following a housing dispute.

Musundire, 43, from Belvedere in Harare, appeared before magistrate Vongai Muchuchuti charged with assault.

The case was postponed to January 19 because his lawyer was engaged at the High Court.

Prosecutor Anesu Matorofa alleged that on February 14 last year, Musundire went to stand number 40 in Unit J, Seke escorted by 20 people

Musundire, who was allegedly leading the crowd, charged towards 61-year-old Amos Kafera and struck him with a golf stick on the head, the court head.

He reportedly fell down.

The court heard that the complainant struggled to stand up and get balance, Musundire allegedly attacked him again on the forehead.

Kafera later managed to go and report the matter to the police before seeking medical attention.

So they was no reason why he was beaten up,Bcoz from what we are reading here they is no clear cut reason why the man was attacked every thing is vague .But i think they was a reason this old man was attacked but i am not saying attacking other human beings is right .
