Sulu dates Chi-Town

HARARE - Dendera music star Suluman “Sulu” Chimbetu, whose popularity has been boosted by the three singles he released during the just-ended festive season, will kick-start his weekend programme tonight at Inner Café located at the corner of Nelson Mandela and Mbuya Nehanda in Harare.The inner Café gig has been dubbed “Pachimambo Mambo”.

Tomorrow the Sean Timba hit-maker will perform at Manyame Night Club in Chitungwiza in a concert themed “Makamaradha Tenda Wariona” where he will be supported by the Tembo Brothers.

Muridzo back at Dandaro Inn

Rising Afro-fusion artiste Andy Muridzo and his Jeetaz Band will share the stage with Walter Sonayi tonight at Dandaro Inn located in the Harare Showgrounds.

Funky Dress Party set to rock Bulawayo

Bulawayo’s popular joint Club Forty40 is hosting a funky dress party tomorrow where patrons will come dressed in 1970s attire.

The event is expected to give the younger generation an idea of how people dressed three decades ago while at the same evoking nostalgic memories among the older folks.

Rhyme plus Sessions at National Museum

Hip-Hop MCs, poets, and beat boxers will perform at the National Museum in Harare tomorrow in a gig that has been dubbed “Rhyme plus Sessions”.

The event is meant to promote individual skills and talent development.

Fun at Mutual Gardens

Mutual Gardens in Harare will host a mud run tomorrow that will begin at 9:30am and end 15:40. Athletes will cover a marathon distance of 2,5 kilometres he marathon. The rolling cost will be $10.

Dancehall, dance in Mutare

Club Mandisa will host Mandisa Queens from tonight until Sunday.

Tomorrow the same venue will play host to dancehall artiste Richard Masawi.

Courtauld Theatre will host a back-to-school reggae versus hip-hop gig.
