Kansiime's show sold out

HARARE - Celebrated Ugandan comedian Anne Kansiime is set to dazzle Harare tomorrow at 7 Arts Theatre where she will share the stage with local comedians Carl Joshua Ncube and Doc Vikela.

Kansiime is being promoted by Xtratime ENT and spokesperson Tonderai Mwaita told the Daily News that the show is now sold-out.

“The venue can accommodate 900 people and we have sold all the 900 tickets in advance,” he said.

The former Makerere University student, who will be performing in Harare as part of the Anne Kansiime World Tour 2015, has promised fireworks on the event and is also expected to tour Oliver Mtukudzi’s Pakare Paye Arts Centre in Norton during her brief stay in the country.

“Kansiime revealed that she is a big fan of Oliver Mtukudzi hence we find it worthy to take her to Pakare Paye Arts Centre such that she can get to know him better, most probably on Saturday,” Mwaita.

The 28-year-old favourite Comedian in the Nollywood and African People’s Choice Award winner commenced her career in showbiz in 2007, as an undergraduate at Makerere University in Uganda.

Macheso returns to Masvingo

Sungura maestro Alick Macheso is returning to Masvingo this weekend where he is billed to perform at Ritz Sports Bar tonight before proceeding to Beitbridge for a show at Dulibadzimu Stadium concert tomorrow.

On Sunday, Macheso and his Orchestra Mberikwazvo will be in Gwanda for a show at Pumulani Hotel concert.

Bev dates Guruve

Tonight dancer Beverly Sibanda and her Sexy Angels are performing in Harare at Globe Trotter Motel before travelling to Guruve tomorrow for a potentially explosive show at Chivavaya Night Club in Guruve.

On Sunday, Sibanda will share the stage with sungura musician Peter Moyo at Traveller Night Club in Harare’s Dzivaresekwa suburb.

Sulu bids farewell

As Suluman Chimbetu will be performing in the United Kingdom, Birmingham on November 21 alongside Oliver Mtukudzi, he is tonight performing at a farewell gig hosted by Dandaro Inn in the capital before proceeding to Chiredzi tomorrow where he and his Orchestra Dendera Kings will be performing at Chitsanga Hall.

On Sunday, the Sean Timba hit-maker will be performing in Harare at Extra Mile Leisure Spot.

Tomorrow, the Jerusarema hit-maker will be showcasing in Kariba at Nyamhunga Stadium where he will share the stage with Killer T and Jean Masters again.
