Kansiime show almost sold out

HARARE - Xtratime ENT the organisers of the well-celebrated Ugandan comedian Anne Kansiime’s show billed for Harare on Saturday are regretting choosing a small venue, 7 Arts Theatre following the positive response the show has attracted.

The organisation’s spokesperson Tonderai Mwaita told the Daily News that the show is almost sold out.

“We are shocked with the positive response the show got. We are actually regretting choosing a small venue like 7 Arts Theatre.

“The venue can accommodate 900 people and so far we have sold 800 tickets in advance,” he said.

Kansiime, who is billed to share the stage with local comedians Carl Joshua Ncube and Doc Vikela, is expected to arrive in the country tomorrow and a welcome party is currently being organised.

The former Makerere University student, who will be performing in Harare as part of the Anne Kansiime World Tour 2015, has promised fireworks on the event and is also expected to tour Oliver Mtukudzi’s Pakare Paye Arts Centre in Norton during her brief stay in the country.

“Kansiime revealed that she is a big fan of Oliver Mtukudzi hence we find it worthy to take her to Pakare Paye Arts Centre such that she can meet with him, most probably on Saturday,” said Mwaita.

The 28-year-old Favourite Comedian in the Nollywood and African People’s Choice Award winner commenced her career in showbiz in 2007, as an undergraduate at Makerere University in Uganda.
