World 'failing Syrian refugees'

DAMASCUS - A UN inquiry into the conflict in Syria has criticised the "global failure" to protect the country's refugees, saying it has fuelled Europe's migrant crisis.

Chairman Paulo Sergio Pinheiro urged the international community to act with "humanity and compassion" by creating legal channels of migration.

The inquiry's latest report says 2,000 Syrians trying to reach Europe have drowned in the Mediterranean Sea.

And the Syrian war, it warns, continues to intensify with no end in sight.

More than 240,000 people have been killed since an uprising against President Bashar al-Assad erupted in March 2011.

A further four million Syrians have fled abroad and 7.6 million are displaced internally.

The Commission of Inquiry on Syria was established by the UN Human Rights Council to investigate alleged violations of international human rights law.

Yesterday I was touched by the plight of father who lost a toddlers and the father went on to confirm that he lost the entire family that drowned in the sea fleeing uprising in Syria from Al Assad. The world is watching trying to reach a compromise with Al Assad. Dictators does not step down simply by condemning their bad governance. They have an evil heart, they only feel the heat when you begin to close on them. When you begin to do the same to their family, wealth and raely men to kill them for that evil way. In Africa, we have majority of Africa nationals fleeing to South Africa, its not that everything is evn rose in South Africa, they have problem back home and a fleeing as last resort. The AU, SADC and UN knows about all these evil leaders, they condemn . Which African leader. a dictator stepped down because world is condemning the evil acts. Ethiapians, Somalias. Malawian, Zimbabweans Mozambiqucan walk, bord bus and risk all just to find some life in SA. Women are raped across, as they negotiate with law inforcement agents to be allowed to cross illegally, children drown in Limpopo as these women carrying babies on their backs trying to cross through un designated unsafe crossing points. They do not have papers. SADC and AU even recognised the worst dictator, made him chairman of both AU and SADC, what a mockery to the families who are terrorised by this shameless, greedy dictator. The owrld watches, they condemn, DICTOTORS DOES NOT STEP DOWN DUE TO THE WHOLE WORLD CONDEMNING. THEY LEAVE OFFICE BY FORCE< LIKE what happened to SADDAM, Mubarak, and others.

What is the United Nations doing about this situation? Put a halt to these wars, whether they be caused by religion or greed...... surely we are more intelligent than what is being portrayed at present. UN... you are paid do your job. We need World Peace. What does war prove? A few people become extremely rich, and millions are left in poverty. Show some intelligence and force a cease fire, and start talking. This behaviour is ridiculous. Send all invaders back to their own countries, including the USA in overseas "bases", and get some dialogue going. I am disgusted with the lack of effort to prevent wars. What have we learnt from years of it..??? Only to get nastier arsenal. Why dont humans use their brains/ intelligence, instead of brawn.Human behaviour has become quite disgusting in my view. UN MUST stop these wars!!!
