Daily News journo features Zamar in new single

HARARE - Nyasha Chingono, a Daily News reporter based in Gweru, has released a single titled Musadzokere Kumashure that features renowned gospel music star Takesure Zamar Ncube.

The 25-year-old upcoming gospel musician launched the single during a Worship Addicts Concert held in Gweru last week.

Chingono, who is better known as Wenyasha, is confident that his just-released single will inspire many Christians.

“This song is a call to every Christian to go back to our first love, who is Christ. Christians are lukewarm today and this is a wake-up call for them to remain vigilant,” Chingono told the Daily News.

Wenyasha said the jazzy track was an instant hit when it was launched at the Gweru concert.

“The response was overwhelming as people sang along to the song even though it was the launch. It was simply amazing,” he said.

At the launch, the upcoming singer was introduced on stage by Ncube who emphasised the need to develop young talent.

“There are many musicians that God is raising and Wenyasha is one of them. Support these young artistes so that our industry grows,” the Kuregerera in Advance singer said.

Chingono, who has been under the mentorship of the Worship Addicts front man for the four years, has hailed the influence of Zamar Ncube in his budding career.

“I featured my mentor Takesure Zamar Ncube. His experience brought an exciting feel to the music. I really enjoyed working with him and I thank him for the support,” he said.

The single was recorded at Hitwave studios by Wenyasha’s young brother Tafadzwa Chingono, a talented keyboardist who once played for gospel music star Shingisai Suluma.
