Allard leads All Africa team

HARARE - Bulawayo Golf Club’s Jack Allard will lead a four-man team set to represent Zimbabwe at the All Africa Junior Golf Challenge in Lusaka, Zambia from May 3 to 9.

Also making up the team is 16-year-old David Amm, Bekithemba Ndlovu, and Falcon College’s Kieran Vincent.

Tafadzwa Nyamukondiwa has been selected as a non-travelling reserve.

The continental junior championship will be played on team event using stroke play pattern.

Lowest scores of three best golfers will be cumulative during the four days of the tournament to determine the winning side.

An individual award will also be available for the best golfer of the tournament throughout the event.

Allard will hope to carry on his moment from winning having won four tournaments out of the five played in Bulawayo last week.

He capped off his brilliant week by winning the Cotton Waste tournament played at the Bulawayo Golf Club with scores of 73 and 67 (140) ahead of Justin Kersten who shot 71 and 71 (142).

In third place was Olivier Kevin who settled for 78 and 74 (152).

In the girls category, Margaret Nyamukondiwa was tops with scores of 86 and 84 (179) followed by Samantha Zumbo with 104 and 92 (196) and in third place Humbira Tracey at 104 and 96 (200).
