MDC has Dzamara: Manheru

HARARE - A shadowy State media pseudo writer believed to be presidential spokesperson, George Charamba says Morgan Tsvangirai’s MDC is responsible for the disappearance of activist Itai Dzamara.

State media columnist, Nathaniel Manheru in his latest column in The Herald yesterday said Zanu PF has nothing to do with Dzamara’s disappearance.

“The MDC-T has Dzamara. He is their activist,” wrote Manheru.

“They will most probably keep him away for a while, spirit him into exile like they did with another such, a few years ago. Or at worst, they kill him, to make a desperate point. Well let them know that to do the worst is to shed blood needlessly, given that there are no takers anymore. All eyes are now trained on Zanu PF, not for blame, but for the future which the West wishes is post-Mugabe,” he added.

Dzamara’s family on Monday rubbished all theories suggesting that the activist engineered his disappearance, warning that it had engaged its legal team to deal with all those perpetuating malicious lies.

Patson Dzamara, Itai’s brother, said his family out rightly scoff at suggestions that his brother stage-managed his own abduction to gain political mileage. Patson also stated that the family’s legal team will deal with all those peddling the allegedly malicious lies.

“We have already engaged legal team and police who are handling the matter and I am sure that before the end of the day (last Monday) some headway would have been made in as far as bringing them to accountability because they claim that they know where the person we are looking for is. Even government is looking for that person and as such they should tell us,” he said.

“There have been a lot of rumours, versions and theories promulgated by various individuals or media outlets, some of which are certainly malicious lies. Never the less, we give it to them. They are entitled to their positions. Meanwhile, as a family we keep our minds and focus stayed on the mission of finding Itai.

“We perceived a bigger hand in this and we unequivocally reject the notion that this is grandstanding effort masterminded by him and his colleagues,” added Patson.

Controversial musician cum politician Energy Mutodi wrote on his Facebook wall that Dzamara was hiding in Botswana.

Fuck that, this family is trying to take zimbabwean law enforcement agents for a ride. charge them and thats the only way to find the villain. of what significance is Dzamara to national security?????????? the guy is useless.Opposition Powerhouse Tsvangirai for 16 years tried in vain to unseat ZPF but failed . Dzamara is useless and the state should proceed with the seach for him not as a missing person, but a wanted person.

Infact Dzamara is a wanted thief, wanted for stock theft and he is on the run. It is this stupid publication which wants us to believe that the stock thief cum idiotic politician has been abducted. I urge the police to arrest Dzamara's relative, they were also beneficiaries of the slaughtered beast he stole and sold.

In a dictatorship State it is very common for people to disappear

You'd just wonder why a government which claims to be so popular is so afraid of individual citizens protesting as individuals in open spaces in the center of the city,in broad daylight.I think this is the beginning of worse things to come. When this man is found eventually,in whatever state opposition people will be arrested for the "crime". A common script in Zimbabwe, remember Cain Nkala. If they have the audacity of killing their own, what more can they do to their "enemies".

Who is afraid of Dzamara? This thing was stage managed but it was executed badly. The noise by the MDC-T caused a lot of suspicions. How can you start blaming the government and Zanu Pf when you say he was abducted by unknown people? This dzamara guy is causing his family unnecessary stress.
