Zahara, Mafikizolo to jet in tomorrow

HARARE - Organisers of the Zahara-Mafikizolo concert, have said the top South African artistes will be jetting in tomorrow.

Simba Madziwa, director of Simmad Entertainment, said tickets to the concert — scheduled for tomorrow at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) — were selling fast

“Chances are high that we might reach our expected numbers — full house — considering the rate at which advance tickets are moving,” Madziwa said.

“Both Zahara and Mafikizolo will be arriving in the country on Friday for the show and I can confirm that there is a strong demand for tickets.”

Madziwa said they would have a selling point at the venue but it would be located away from the entry point.

“We do not want to cause unnecessary commotion again hence we have decided to place a selling point away from the entry point this time around,” he said.

Madziwa said the venue was the most suitable or appropriate one considering that there were rain fears.

“So far, HICC remains the best as an entertainment joint, we are still in the rainy season hence we are not worried about the weather,” he said.

The award-winning SA artistes will be sharing the stage with local artistes Jah Prayzah, Winky D and Pah Chihera.

Zahara is famed for her hit songs that include Lengoma, Loliwe, Destiny, My Guitar, Brand New Day, Shine, Umthwalo, Xa Bendingena Mama, Thekwana, Away, Ndize and Incwad’encane featuring a SA-based Zimbabwean artiste George Munetsi.

Mafikizolo are veterans with a huge discography, including the latest hits such as Khona and Happiness.
