Charambas set for Botswana

HARARE - Gospel stars Charles and Olivia Charamba will perform in Gaborone, Botswana on Saturday.

The show, dubbed Family Gospel Show, will be the celebrated gospel couple’s first concert outside Zimbabwe this year.

Lindiwe Marimo, the administrator for the Charambas’ backing group, The Fishers of Men, confirmed the weekend gig in the Botswana capital city.

“Baba naMai Charamba ministered at a church conference in Francistown before but this is our first concert in Gaborone,” Marimo told The Daily News yesterday.

“We are excited and we are looking forward to the concert. We are promising new songs from our new album, WeNazareta. We will also be sharing the stage with other artistes from Botswana and Zimbabwe.”

Other musicians set to share the stage with the Charambas include Enoch Cloud Goreh, Tebbie “Gospel Queen”, Captain Frank and popular producer Dr Tawanda.

Charles and Olivia Charamba, who performed in Australia late last year, have also lined up a concert at AFM Blessed Assembly in Chitungwiza on March 14.
