Tocky Vibes nails and hammers it in the UK

LONDON - Zimdancehall star Tocky Vibes’ tour of the United Kingdom got off to a roaring start in Leicester on Friday night.

Despite being blighted by sound issues at the start of the concert, the tour dubbed Tocky Ayenda Nenyika, which also featured Lady Squanda, ended on a high note.

According to News of the South, Tocky’s gig at Streetlife Club attracted a full house.

“Tocky got the crowd dancing and shouting for more in an action-packed performance that many will remember for a very long time,” said the online site.

Phab Entertainment, the tour promoters, received an overwhelming response to the gig as thousands thronged the venue which ended up being too small to accommodate the numerous fans.

The News of the South further reported that security details had a tough time dealing with the long queue of impatient fans outside the venue who tried to shove and push their way in.

In the end, some music fans ended up getting in free of charge.

The online site quoted one DJ Langton Chipangula who had travelled all the way from Woking — about two-and-a-half hours away — who failed to get in along with eight people he had brought along.

“I had been waiting to see Tocky and was very disappointed so I will be going early to the Dunstable gig Saturday night and I have to get in” he told News Of The South.
