Mugabe birthday bash on tonight

HARARE - Several leading entertainers will perform at President Robert Mugabe’s birthday bash set for the City Sports Centre tonight.

The mouth-watering list of entertainers on the bill includes the rejuvenated Leonard Zhakata, Suluman Chimbetu, Jah Prayzah, Mathias Mhere, Alick Macheso, Tryson Chimbetu, Somandla Ndebele, Tocky Vibes and many others.

Macheso returns to Bindura

Sungura musician Alick Macheso will be back in Bindura tomorrow night where he and his Orchestra Mberikwazvo Band are expected to perform at Tendai Hall before moving to Chegutu Arms Hotel on Sunday.

Misty’s hosts Tuku

Music superstar Oliver Mtukudzi, who failed to perform alongside top South African artiste Ringo Madlingozi last weekend due to ill-health, will return to the stage at Misty’s tonight.

Jabavu Drive to serenade Bar Rounge

Bar Rounge at Long Chen Plaza will host Jabavu Drive Jazz band tonight. The veteran jazz outfit will share the stage with DJ Speed.

It’s all about comedy

Da DJ, Comrade Fatso and Simba the Comic King will perform at the Comedy Jam at Tinkabell Restaurant tomorrow.

They will be supported by DJ Jaybone who will play music in between breaks.

Kunonga to sizzle Book Cafe

Victor Kunonga and Peace will return to the Book Café tonight buoyed by the phenomenal success of his latest album Kwedu.

The rising Afrofusion star was recently described by African jazz star Hugh Masekela as “…a fresh, dynamic international sound rooted in African rhythms and musically very superior.”

Kunonga will share the stage upcoming musician Norman Masamba.

Nox, Bev descend on Kariba

South Africa-based musician Enoch “Nox” Guni will share the stage with controversial dancer Beverly “Bev” Sibanda at Kariba Country Club tonight.

Tomorrow night, Bev will return to Harare for a show at Club Officers in Epworth before sharing the stage on Sunday with Peter Moyo and Suluman Chimbetu at a family show to be hosted by Zebra Bar in Mbare.

Sulu, Jah Prayzah to rock Ice and Fire Pamuzinda

Award-winning artistes Suluman Chimbetu and Jah Prayzah will rock Ice and Fire Pamuzinda tonight.

The following day Sulu will perform at Gabs Restaurant in Harare’s Avenues area.

Matute Night Club hosts Franco Slomo

The Mbare-based joint will play host to Francis “Franco Slomo” Dhaka and Extra Kwazvose tomorrow before welcoming Progress Chipfumo and the Sounds of Motherland on Sunday.

Super Label throws Heavy E birthday Bash

Heavy E is set to celebrate his birthday in style tomorrow at Super Label where he will be supported by Freeman, Dadza D, Kinnah, Killer T, Crystal, Lady B, Jay Cee, Cello Culture, Genius, Bobo Fire, Ras Caleb, Maffcat, Ras Pompy, Eddyllino and Jah Drug among others.
