Pasuwa is a clown - Mubaiwa

HARARE - Dynamos chairman Kenny Mubaiwa has branded Calisto Pasuwa a ‘clown’ after the coach dragged his former employers to the Labour Court.

Pasuwa is demanding that the Glamour Boy pay him an outstanding amount of $26 000 in unpaid signing-on fees and bonuses.

Mubaiwa and Pasuwa enjoyed a love-hate relationship during the coach’s four-year stay at the Glamour Boys.

Even though Pasuwa led the Harare giants to a record four straight Castle Premiership title, he has never been greatly appreciated by the club bosses.

The disdain reached fever level when Pasuwa announced he was not renewing his contract with the Glamour Boys on the last day of the 2014 season.

Pasuwa cited the Mubaiwa-led executive inertia in negotiating a new contract as a reason for stepping away from the record Zimbabwe champions.

His latest move seems to have further infuriated the DeMbare bosses.

“It seems Pasuwa is lost now; he seems to be misguided. Why is he acting like a clown?,” the DeMbare chairman told the Daily News yesterday.

“We called him some time ago to come and surrender the club’s stuff he has been using but he went into hiding.

“I am surprised that he wants to sue us over a debt which I don’t even know where it is coming from. In as far as I know Pasuwa was getting his salaries and other allowances. If there is anything that we owe him then it has to be a small amount.”

The Harare businessman said that Pasuwa must return the club’s property he was using since he was no longer employed by the Glamour Boys.

“He is still with the team’s car (Honda CRV), television set, soccer balls, cons, uniforms among other things. We told him to come at the same time settle his debt but he is nowhere to be found,” he said.

“We are not moved because he never came to us and sit down. In fact we are actually prepared for anything because we never refused to pay him his dues.”

Efforts to get a comment from Pasuwa proved futile as his mobile phone was ringing with no answer.

After Pasuwa quit the Glamour Boys, the club appointed David Mandigora at the start of the this year to return for a second stint.

During his first stint, Mandigora ended DeMbare’s 10-year wait for the championship when he led the club to win the 2007 Premiership.

The following year, the former DeMbare defender also led the club to the semi-final of the African Champions League before losing to Coton Sport de Garoua of Cameroon.

But as if DeMbare fans don't know who a clown is, it is Mubayiwa not the record breaking coach. Management ye dembare inopenga inoda kuvera ma tracksuits ne ma shorts ne maplates a pasuwa voti Dembare property as if dzimba. pay him and then ask for your tracksuits back, thes thugs, this the problem when people buy their way into big clubs to make money and a name. Kalisto gave them some pride whichu they always wanted to deny him by sabotaging his work always. Kalisto a legend, Mubayiwa a clown is what we expect to read from newspapers.

He is a better clown who gave his team 4 titles in a row, the Dynamos leadership could have put this in a better way for someone who has contributed a lot to the team.

Mubaiwa give other people a chance , You have killed the team. During your term you failed to organise even a friendly game with any neigbouring team e.g Kaiser who have come open to offer Dembare special offers so that we can raise money. This issue of unpaid allowances of players we are tired. If you say you have something to offer, whats your plans in 2015. My question if you are not getting anything from the Club you should have left like the players are doing. Please and please nzwiraiwo maplayers tsitsi some have got families and others are yet to build their families . How do you feel if it was you. Inga mune mabuisness inyu wani mudhara. Dembare mai uraya Mudhara. I salute the Ex Coach and the players.
