Get enticed with Clare, Edith on Valentine's

HARARE - Two guitars, two voices, one band, Valentine’s Day at the Book Café will feature a combination of Clare Nyakujara and Edith WeUtonga with the show #Bhururu.

Clare, a jazz singer and Zima 2014 Best Jazz Music winner and Edith, a Nama 2013  outstanding female musician nominee, say their aim is to bring friends and lovers together on Valentine’s Day.

“#Bhururu is a new concept we are launching on Valentine’s Day in partnership with a local beauty spa. The tickets are going for $15 for a couple and $10 for singles. This will provide a voucher for a manicure and pedicure either on the day or any day after. We are still working on doing the massages there.

“This is going to be different, people are used to Clare the Jazz musician, Edith the bassist but this time we are rock-stars. Usually, when people are playing when the song gets to a peak, they change to rhumba or KwasaKwasa, we decided to take a different route and make it a rock-themed gig,” said Clare.

The gig is also the official Nama-after party where people can attend after watching the awards which will take place on the same night at the 7 Arts Theatre.

Clare will be launching her single titled Ghetto, a jazz song featuring BaShupi in the first week of March.
