War breaks out in Ncube's MDC

HARARE - In a further sign that all is not well in Welshman Ncube’s MDC, the party’s embattled secretary-general, Priscilla Misihairabwi-Mushonga, has dared her colleagues to kick her out of the fledgling opposition party.

Responding on Facebook to a scathing letter from a party member against her, that appeared in the Daily News at the weekend, Misihairabwi-Mushonga vented her anger publicly and trashed the troubled party and some of its followers.

“Ouch, it’s sore to be in junk yard, and am so waiting to be pushed out,” she wrote.

“No-one is indispensable, the sooner you do it the faster you march to State House riding on donkeys, please keep writing. It is so gratifying to know that there are so many of you that really genuinely not just dislike me, but hate me, Aluta continua, I so await for the next instalment. Happy hating,” she added in her Facebook rant.

“I don’t mind those that think that the revolution will be achieved by pushing me out. The sooner they do it, the faster we all can leave happily ever after, so let’s encourage them as they may be the saviours we were looking for, they must know something we don’t know, that our problems would just go as soon as this evil person Priscilla is banished. Please let’s support their cause,” she added.

Unconfirmed reports emerged last month that Ncube had allegedly fallen out with his long-time ally Misihairabwi-Mushonga over positions in a new party being formed with the MDC renewal team.

The fallout is said to have emanated from reports that Misihairabwi-Mushonga was allegedly backing former MDC secretary general Tendai Biti, now a prominent leader of the renewal team, to lead the mooted united outfit, ahead of Ncube.

Misihairabwi-Mushonga, it was claimed, was doing this to secure herself the post of secretary general in the united party.

An agreement signed between the two parties states that the posts of president and secretary general will be split between the two outfits — ensuring that if the MDC renewal team candidate wins the presidency, the secretary general will come from the MDC and vice versa.

Efforts to talk to Misihairabwi-Mushonga to solicit further comments from her were unsuccessful last night.

Why wash dirty linen in public sister Priscilla? Facebook is a public forum and not ideally suited to discuss sensitive organizational issues even metaphorically.

All these MDCs are fronts for Zanu PF. they are meant to confuse Zimbabweans and keep us hoping. MDC Welshman (CIO), MDC Biti, MDC Sikhala, and soon MDC MISIHAIRABWI. Zimbabweans will only be rescued by a split in the Party that enslaved them, that is Zanu Pf. lets all encourage the enevitable split. Tsangirai tried but unfortunately he is leading a bunch of cowards and his party is highly inflitrated by Zanu pf CIOs who have caused him to appear like a fool and confused.
