Soul Jah Love descends on Book Café

HARARE - Tonight, the Book Café Main Stage will host award-winning dancehall star Soul Jah Love.

On Saturday afternoon, the same venue will host rap battles featuring Spliffah Ray, Asaph, Kingson Mac and Benny Jones. There will also be performances by ZimFam, GmanLee and Khapadia.

The Book Cafe Main Stage tomorrow night will host a guitar and percussion night featuring duets between some of Zimbabwe’s finest guitarists and percussionists, and special guests Matze, Mono Mukundu as well as upcoming group Jam Signal.

Mbira group Madhonza Makuru will perform on the Garden Stage tomorrow night.

Sulu reunites with Peter Moyo at Rangers

Suluman Chimbetu and the Orchestra Dendera Kings will begin their weekend programme at Takarangana in Hatcliffe tonight.

On Saturday night, they will perform at Pensao along Samora Machel Avenue.

The big bash for Sulu will be the family show at Rangers in Westlea where he will share the stage with sungura star Peter Moyo.

Douglas Chimbetu dates Extra Kwazvose

Dendera star Douglas Chimbetu will kick-start his weekend programme tonight at Regular Sports Bar in Mbare.

On Sunday, the young musician will share the stage with Francis “Franco Slomo” Dhaka and Extra Kwazvose at a family show to be held at Club Vegas in Harare’s Southerton suburb.

Fireworks at The Nust Car Park

The Nust Car Park on Friday and Saturday will host The Jumpstart Marathon Party. Top DJs who include Crazy, Black, Twist and Slimza will entertain people.

DJ Exclusive from Trace TV will be the guest along with MC T Fwesh.

Fun continues at Alliance Francaise

“Music from three continents” is back again in Harare and will be at Alliance Francaise today.

Titled Amazwekazi Amathathu which translates to music from three continents, the show will feature a collaboration of artistes from Africa, Asia and Europe.

The project features artistes such as Hari Tempong on gamelan instruments (Indonesia), on flutes, vocals and keyboards there is Matthias Min (Austria), on guitar and vocals, Mari Raudsepp (Sweden) a professional dancer, Tafadzwa Marova on bass guitar, keyboards and vocals (Zimbabwe), Batsirai Chigama, spoken word artist (Zimbabwe), and Blessed Rukweza another professional dancer (Zimbabwe)

Pariah State comes alive tonight

Pariah State’s entertainment-packed weekend begins tonight with the Faraidays gig featuring the explosive DJ Naida and several other guest DJs.

Tomorrow, the same venue will host the Vault Cosmetics Eyebrow Party starting at 11am.

DJ Lochnation will be the hostess.
