Jah Bless releases debut album

HARARE - After close to a decade of entertaining fans without an album to his name, dancehall artiste Jah Bless has finally dropped one.

The 39-year-old artiste whose real name is Tavona Kevin Padoro has released a 12-track album entitled Mr Entertainer following his vast experience in the field of entertaining fans.

“I was born an entertainer and I am glad that finally I have managed to release my first album. I am not new in the field as I have worked and shared the stage with the who is who in the showbiz industry including the likes of Buju Banton and Freddie McGregor. And that was despite the fact that by then I had no album under my name,” he said.

The former Crucial Mix band member is hoping the debut album will take him to a higher level in the music industry.

“Since the release of the album late last year, I am receiving positive feedback from the industry and my fans are encouraging me to form a full band such that we can start touring the country and the world holding concerts.

“So, this year I am working towards assembling a full band and this would also help in promoting the album,” he said.

Jah Bless’ music has the potential to storm the international market considering that it is free from vulgar and pro-violence lyrics. Tracks making the album include Pakaipa, Zvichaita Better, Entertainer, Toriona Here?, Zvimwe Unondida, Patop Top, Mai Chipo, Jah Rastafari, among others.
