The match-play saw Malaysia’s 10 top junior golfers taking a similar number of top junior golfers from the rest of the world.

The Chapman Golf Club based golfer, who was seeded fourth in the match play, edged Malaysia’s Fara Adylah Yeoh 4-3 following an 8.40 am tee off yesterday morning.

Bekker’s score helped the rest of the world beat Malaysia six and half to three and half.

The tournament provided an excellent opportunity for young people to compete and earn world amateur ranking points.
