Pretty Xaba dies

HARARE - Former Studio 263 actress Pretty Xaba, pictured, passed away yesterday at BLK Super Speciality Hospital in New Delhi India where she had gone to seek medical treatment for cancer of the oesophagus.

Coordinator of the Let’s Help Pretty Xaba campaign, Tawonga Mafundikwa confirmed the death.

“It is very sad that Pretty (Xaba) is no more. She died in India and as of now it’s too early to talk about the funeral arrangements because we have to work together with her family,” said Mafundikwa.

The actress was in  India after being assisted with $18 000 for medication by Walter Magaya, founder and leader of Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries.

Xaba rose to fame after staring in local drama Studio 263, while she featured in other plays and dramas such as I want A Dress, Coliwe, Xola, Everyone’s Child, and Lobola among others.

Xaba is survived by two children Runyararo and Hope Chayambuka.

May her saul rest in peace

KULUMANI MAGIYA - 7 December 2014

There is NO REST IN PEACE for those who die without JESUS CHRIST. However, I am not implying that Pretty Xaba died without JESUS CHRIST, she surely should have received JESUS CHRIST as LORD & SAVIOUR at PHD, but its just that this phrase "MHDSRIP" is so much abused at funerals of saints and aints alike the world over. NO JESUS NO PEACE, KNOW JESUS KNOW PEACE! Nobody who lives a reckless, godless & CHRISTless lifestyle on earth should expect that prayers and wishes of family and friends after his or her demise will help him or her to enter HEAVEN via the backdoor. The Shona proverb said it well ages ago maybe before the Bible even came to our part of the world that: "Kuseri kweguva, hakuna muteuro; Kuseri kweguva, hakuna munamato; Kuseri kweguva, hakuna munyengetero". With all due respect, ukafa usina JESO CHRISTU unonoona moto kugehenna (Luke 16:19-31).

RIP Pretty you will be dearly missed by all artists, film-makers and arts enthusiasts alike. I think the comment by Maxwell is uncalled for and correcting yourself means you know you were wrong in some way by the negative insinuations about religious persuasions and the fate of the dearly departed.

RIP Pretty. But Maxwell Christian you seem to know who goes to hell and who goes to paradise. God is the one who gives life and death. God is the most merciful. You can not equate God with Jesus Christ. Jesus healed people made miracles with God's permission. Even in African tradition God is not equated

@Maxwell Death is inevitable Maxwell, being at PHD does not gaurantee you everlasting life, your so called Prophet breaks every rule in the bible, number one he does not believe in speaking in tongues, RIP Pretty. Just becuase Magaya offered her a choice to Join PHD does not mean she wasn't a born again, according to your analysis, if one does not become born again at PHD, it means one is not saved. tsvagai mwari achawanika vana Maxwero ibvai ku PHD kwamuri, satan has taken the innocent by surprise.
