Tocky Vibes holds birthday bash

HARARE - A potentially explosive gig will be held at the Zanu PF headquarters tomorrow to mark Tocky Vibes’ 21st birthday.

At the gig which will start at 1500hrs, the Mhai hitmaker will be supported by Ninja Lipsy, Templeman, Terminator and several other dancehall artistes.

Poetry against gender-based violence

This month’s edition of the House of Hunger Poetry Slam, this afternoon at the Book Café, will be held under the theme ‘Peace in the World’ in the spirit of the global 16 Days Campaign against Gender-based Violence.

Big Brother reaches finale

Fans of Big Brother Africa will meet at the Book Café on Sunday to witness the final edition of Africa’s most popular reality show. There will be an after party featuring Chikwata 263 DJ Trickx. The Big Brother show will attract no charge.

Party time at Mekka

Tomorrow Mekka Cocktail Lounge, located at Sam Levy’s Village, will host its regular Urban Saturday which is popular for playing music for the grown and mature. The show runs from 12 noon to 8 pm.

Soul Jah Love celebrates 25th birthday at Takashinga

Soul Jah Love will hold a celebratory gig to mark his 25th birthday at Takashinga Cricket Club today.

The award-winning dancehall star will share the stage with several fellow dancehall artistes.

The Zim Colour Run returns

The annual Zimbabwe Colour Run will take place at Borrowdale Race Course from noon tomorrow.

The event is a family event in which people from young and old cover themselves in paint in the fun race whose proceeds are distributed to organisations that cater for the less fortunate.

After the run, there will be world class DJs, concession stands and lots of entertainment for the children. And there will also be a neon party in the evening whereby the paint glows.

DJ party tonight

DJs Tony D and Robbie Tee will rock the Centurion Pub and Grill at the Harare Sports Club tonight. The two celebrated DJs will deliver a mixed bag of old school songs.

Early Christmas at Longcheng Plaza

Tomorrow afternoon Longcheng Plaza will host a Christmas Fair. There will be a Christmas Tree Lighting session as well as braai and music for the whole family. Most Shops at the mall will sell their products at discounted prices in the spirit of Christmas.

The Zimbabwe German Society will tonight host a show dubbed Let The Children Play featuring young Zimbabwean musicians. The night concert will also feature Jam Signal, Dudu Manhenga, Fungai Nengara and Eve Kawadza.

Tonight, the same venue will also host the versatile Prayersoul whose show is expected to be dominated by R ‘n’ B and Soul Hits from the 90s and early 2000s.

Tehn Diamond raps it away at Gaby’s Restaurant

Award winning rapper, Tehn Diamond, will be at Gaby’s Restaurant tonight for a show dubbed Slightly Unplugged.

The return of Tanga WekwaSando

Veteran jazz artiste Tanga WeKwaSando will hold a rare show tonight at Misty’s based at Newlands Shopping Centre. Tomorrow the same venue will host Bob ‘The Headmaster’ Nyabinde.

Clash of DJs at Club Archies

Over 50 DJs will battle it out tonight for the top prize of $500 at Club Archies (Ex-Archipelago) .The DJ battle will be followed by an event called Pimp Squad clique at the same venue tomorrow.

Bev‘s packed weekend

Dancer Beverly Sibanda, backed by her Sexy Angels group, will kick off her

weekend programme at Club Officers in Epworth tonight. Bev will then descend on Takarangana Night Club in Hatcliffe, in Harare tomorrow before doing her last weekend show at Holly’s Hotel in Harare on Sunday.
