Pokello launches shoe label

HARARE - Socialite Pokello Nare will today launch her shoe label Pokello’s Pink Bottoms at her shop at Longcheng Plaza near the National Sports Stadium.

The launch of the shoe line by the former Big Brother Africa contestant, who is also referred to as “female hustler,” will be followed by an after-party at the Skyy Bar located at Helensvale Shopping Centre.

The Charambas to perform in Mutoko

Celebrated gospel music couple, Charles and Olivia Charamba, will hold a fundraising show at Nyadire High School tomorrow.

The Charambas told the Daily News that they were delighted to be part of the fundraising show organised by the alumni of the Christian school.

“We are in support of education and that is the reason why we are going to perform there,” said Charles Charamba.

After the Nyadire show, the Charambas will hold another show at 99 Park Lane Street in Harare which will begin at 6pm.

On Sunday, the country’s popular gospel music couple will perform at the United Methodist Church in Glen Norah.

Africa Revenge, Mbangwa share stage

AFRIKA Revenge, who recently reunited after an eight-year break, will share the stage with jazz star Rute Mbangwa at the Book Café main stage tonight in a show that has been put together to commemorate the ongoing 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence.

Before the Afrika Revenge-Mbangwa late night concert, the Book Café will host mbira giants Mawungira eNharira on the garden stage. 

King Vevela dates Chinhoyi, Marondera, Mutoko

Rhumba outfit Super Labien Musica, fronted by Cuthbert “King Vevela” Kasirori, will perform at the End of Year Celebration gig to be held at the Chinhoyi University of Technology tomorrow.

King Vevela will warm up for the Chinhoyi show by performing at Rigos Sports Club in Marondera’s Dombotombo suburb tonight.

The exciting rhumba group will then wind up its weekend shows at Male Rose Club in Mutoko on Sunday.

Midlands’ top gospel show tomorrow

Pastor Bandimba and Shuwai Wutaunashe will headline the Family of God Church 2014 Musical Concert tomorrow night at Educare Hall in Gweru.

The concert featuring top musicians in the Family of God church will also include Mwangelwa Gwenyanya, Rachel Mushosho and Family Voices.

City Sports Bar hosts Zhakata

Zora star Leonard Zhakata will share the stage with rising young star Sister Rudo at the City Sports Bar tomorrow night.

On Sunday, the same venue will welcome Peter Moyo and his Utakataka Express who will also share the stage with Sister Rudo.
