Dynamos set for overhaul

HARARE - Dynamos plan to overhaul the club’s technical bench ahead of the 2015 season.

With the imminent departure of coach Calisto Pasuwa, the four-time title-winning Glamour Boys gaffer is now likely to leave with his entire backroom staff.

The revered coach’s contract expires at the end of the month, but says he will decline a new offer, in a move seen as protest over the manner he has been occasionally treated by the club’s executive.

Club chairman Kenny Mubaiwa told the Daily News yesterday that the new coach will be free to appoint his own assistants.

This effectively means assistant coach Philemon Mutyakureva, team manager Richard Chihoro and goalkeepers coach Tichaona Diya will be affected.

“Since we are having a new coach, there is need to support him in creating a culture in which we can be confident he will have the full support of everyone,” Mubaiwa said.

“It is for those reasons that we have decided against renewing contracts of Pasuwa’s staff until we appoint a new coach. We have written to them that we are we not going to renew their contracts.

“We have, however, indicated to them that they should apply for the posts if they are interested to carry on. We can only recommend them to the new coach and he will have the final say.

“Our challenge now is to look for a new head coach. We hope to appoint the new coach at the beginning of next year so that he can have enough time to prepare for the new season.”

The 21-time Zimbabwean champions are also making frantic efforts to renew contracts of several senior players, whose current deals expire on December 31.

The Daily News understands that DeMbgare have over 10 players who have their contracts running out at the end of the year.

Dynamos inofanira kuita overhaul the executive, they are acting like they belong to the media. From the way the team performed it signalled that the team was challenging for the honour. They reluxed as if everything is ok, until recent when Mubaiwa announced that the team does not have money to participate in continent. Dynamos is a very big institute which need people who think, marketing strategies, not journalist. They are many ways that they could have attempted in an effort to raise fund for the team, locally or abroad than just to rely on donations. That executive does not save an purpose, strategically they are not doing enough to justify their presence in Dynamos house. They are too smart, for the job, they are only there to protect their executive posts. Dynamos cant develop with such kind of leadership, hence we dont own any property, those are fruits of poor vision from the leadership. They are only after money. Please do something with leadership of Dembare, otherwise it will remain on the floor forever. Otherwise its the same story until, its..........................
