Ndoro confirms Pirates, Downs interest

JOHANNESBURG - Mpumalanga Black Aces striker Tendai Ndoro has confirmed to KickOff that Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are racing for his signature.

Ndoro – who missed his team’s League match against Polokwane City on Saturday because of a hamstring injury – revealed that the two clubs are holding talks with his agent, Karabo Mathang.

“Anything can happen,” Ndoro says when asked if he would join Pirates or Sundowns during the January transfer window.

“Both clubs have shown their interest in me but everything is being handled by my agent. I am not in a position to say which of the two clubs I will join or if I will actually join any of them.

“Everything really depends on the outcome of the talks. Let me point out that I still have a contract with Mpumalanga Black Aces. However, as a player, I am not afraid to take up any new challenges that may come my way in football,” he adds.

Both teams showed interest in the Zimbabwean during the previous transfer window.

KickOff has already gathered that Pirates will table a swap deal that would bring Ndoro to the Soweto giants in exchange for Aubrey Ngoma.

However, with Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane also monitoring the player, Ndoro would well become a new addition to the Chloorkop-based side come January.

“My agent also tells me that there are some European clubs that are showing interest in me so we will have to see how it all goes,” Ndoro says.
