Flame Lilly on verge of promotion

HARARE - Flame Lilly will secure promotion into the Castle Premiership with a draw against ZRP Morris today.

The World Navi Northern Soccer League leaders take on ZRP at Morris Depot and are favourites to gain promotion ahead of Gunners, who play Bindura United on the same day.

The Prison Service side currently lead the table with 73 points, three points ahead of second-placed Gunners.

“Yes, we are now closer but we are urging our players to remain focused and there is no room for complacency at this stage,” Flame Lilly coach Nesbert Saruchera told the Daily News yesterday.

“We worked very hard to get to this stage, thanks to the commitment shown by our players throughout the season.”
