Tuku to launch new album in Kadoma

HARARE - Music superstar Oliver Mtukudzi will launch his new album Mukombe weMvura at the Odyssey in Kadoma tonight.

The highly-anticipated concert, which comes on the back of a similar one held in Gweru last weekend, is being organised by popular club DJ D Nosh.

SA star Dube to headline PHD event

SOUTH African pastor and gospel musician Benjamin Dube will share the stage with an impressive cast of local gospel music artistes tonight.

Zimbabwean gospel artistes on the bill include Mathias Mhere, Agatha Murudzwa, Sebastian Magacha, Thembelami, Flem B and Yadah Voices Choir among others.

The event dubbed Night of Turn Around 3 will be held in Harare at the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries venue in Waterfalls.

Zim’s top DJs clash in the capital

Some of Zimbabwe’s most celebrated wheel spinners will clash at Motor Action Sports Club in Harare in an event being organised by Afrimune.

The participating DJs include Hitman Hosea Singende, Kimble Rodgers, Kelvin Sifelani, Fame, Mc Curtis, Ash Styles, DJ Stavo, Nivek, Simplex and Archy Banks.

Madagascar-Zim grooves tonight

Mbira giants Mawungira Enharira will hold their regular Friday night gig tonight on the Book Café Garden Stage led by the sensational Nyamasvisva.

On the Book Café Main Stage tonight, visiting Madagascan musician Haja will do a collaborative show Zimbabwe’s own Blessing Muparutsa (drummer) and Josh Meck (bass.)

Tomorrow afternoon, the Book Café will host a Hweva Trust Fundraising Concert featuring the energetic Kessia Masona and Portifa Mopo and several other upcoming musicians.

The gig aims to raise funds for the Hweva Trust, an organisation which strives to foster positive and respectful relations, and to protect human rights through education and training.

With the Sistaz Open Mic having been postponed to November 22, the show by triple Zimbabwe Music Awards (Zima) winner Cynthia Mare on the Book Café Main Stage tomorrow night will without doubt be the standout concert.

This Sunday the Book Café will host the Big Brother Eviction Party which will feature DJ Flevah.
