JJ survives eviction again

HARARE - For the first time in several weeks, none of Zimbabwe’s Big Brother Hotshots housemates, JJ  and Butterphly is up for eviction.

JJ was up for eviction last week, but was saved by three country votes from Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

The fairly unknown Zimbabwean Big Brother representative survived the axe at the expense of Laveda and Alusa who received the least votes.

Macky2 received four country votes from Botswana, Malawi, Rest of Africa and Zambia while second-placed JJ’s votes were from Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Mam’Bea got votes from Ghana and Nigeria with Ella being saved by votes from Rwanda and Uganda.

Alusa, Permithias and Laveda received one country vote each but Permithias was spared eviction after the tie-breaker rule was employed.

The rule comes into effect if the popularity vote does not yield clear evictees and there is a deadlock between two or more housemates.

If that is the case, the percentage vote from each of the 15 regions will be added together and divided by 14 in order to generate an across the board percentage, which will then ascertain who stays and who goes.

JJ, who is regarded by many as one of the favourites in this year’s Big Brother edition, is safe from nomination because his team won Biggie’s task.

It is Butterphly’s team that is on the chopping block but the reserved Zimbabwean lass appears to be safe as she did not get a single nomination.

Many believe that Butterphly’s quiet and reserved demeanour has continually spared her nomination because fellow housemates don’t regard her as a threat at all.

In the last nomination session, Butterphly nominated Sheillah “because she sometimes offends people in the house” and Kacey “because he is very quiet.”

Laveda is the sixth female housemate to be evicted, while Alusa is the seventh and first male housemate to bow out of the game.
