Bosso fans breathing fire

BULAWAYO - The recent poor performances by struggling Highlanders have resulted in the Bulawayo giants’ supporters becoming restless.

Bosso have gone for four games without a win and at the weekend they were humiliated 4-0 by CAPS United at the National Sports Stadium.

That defeat effectively pushed the club out of the running for the Castle Premiership title as they now trail log leaders Dynamos by 10 points with five games to go before the season ends.

The Daily News took to the streets of the City of Kings to sample the sentiments of the Bosso fans, who are clearly not impressed with what has been happening at their club in recent weeks.

The Bosso fans are still yet to forgive the club bosses for replacing Kelvin Kaindu with his assistant Mark Mathe, who took charge of his first game in the defeat to Makepekepe.

Sithiwe Bhebhe said: “I am in pain. They must look for a better coach. We are tired of losing and the players must be serious. It’s just that these players do not know how I feel after losing especially to Dynamos. I even fail to eat. Kaindu must come back and the executive must go they have failed us.”

Simangaliso Ncube said: “I blame the players, they are not serious. Kaindu was OK but as we hear, some players were sabotaging him. I also think Mathe is not good for the team. Its better Kaindu comes back and Peter Dube and his executive must go.”

Nobuhle Ndlovu: “This pains me and I think these players are paid by someone to sabotage the team. There is no unity in the team and they don’t even show a fighting spirit or a will of wanting to win.”

A well-known Bosso fan Thabani Ngwenya said: “The problem started at the beginning of the season when they replaced Bekithemba Ndlovu and Thembo Tshuma. Those two were working well with Kaindu. The other problem is Willard Khumalo, he is the team manager but he can’t control the players and even discipline them.

“He is not well, he must go and rest why on earth they are keeping him one wonders. Zenzo Moyo can be a good replacement. Kaindu will be difficult to replace, we must swallow our pride and bring him back.

“After the departure of Kaindu, finishing in the top four will be a dream. It means we are out of Mbada Diamonds Cup. Now I can’t even put my Bosso shirt these days, Dynamos fans will make me a laughing stock.”

Another angry Bosso fan Vusumuzi Mangena said: “These boys are playing rubbish. They don’t have the bride of putting on the black and white jersey. Honestly how on earth do you let go of Kaindu and replace him with Mathe?

“Mathe failed even to set a team against CAPS United; wrongly positioning players like Innocent Mapuranga. He also replaced Ariel Sibanda with Njabulo Nyoni that was suicide.

“Another thing these players do not have the team and us the supporters at heart. Judging from the performance of some of the players I’m tempted to believe that they are at work at Highlanders. Inwardly they are Dynamos supporters so they are not affected by the team’s loss.”
