'Triangle will not be easy'

HARARE - ZPC Kariba coach Saul Chaminuka said he is well aware of the threat posed by Triangle and will take a cautious approach when the two teams clash in a Castle Premiership at Gwanzura Stadium tomorrow.

Triangle will come into this match high on confidence after beating Dynamos to win the One wallet Cup last weekend.

The Sugar Sugar Boys will also hoping to keep their fight against relegation alive and Chaminuka knows he is facing a team well geared to collect maximum points.

“I think the game will be not easy as you know that Triangle are coming from a morale boosting victory against Dynamos,” Chaminuka told the Daily News yesterday.

“Also Triangle are fighting for survival against relegation, they are looking to get those three points and it’s a game we need to approach with caution.

“Our preparation for this particular game are going on well, we need to collect maximum points.”

ZPC are currently on second position on the log standing with only twopoints behind log leaders Dynamos.

The Kariba-based side have proved to be a force to reckon in their debut campaign.

“I am happy with the performance of my boys I think we have already achieved our targets this season,” said Chaminuka.

“The race is still open for everyone and us included but as for us I cannot talk about winning the championship.

“Our aim is to maintain our position, I told my boys that we need to remain focused and take each game as it comes.

“We want to finish in the top four so that we can be able to play in the Mbada Diamonds Cup at the end of the season.”

Chaminuka’s charges have the second best defensive record in the league having conceded 16 goals in 24 games.

ZPC still have tough fixtures in their remaining six matches as they still have to play against Dynamos and CAPS United, FC Platinum and Harare City.
