Konshens cancels Harare tour

HARARE - Jamaican reggae artiste, Konshens, who was scheduled to headline the Lion Lager Beer Festival, has cancelled the show.

Patricia Murambinda, Delta Beverages marketing manager, said: “Owing to directives from the Jamaican government barring performing artists from that country to any country on the African continent citing concerns over Ebola hemorrhagic fever, Koshens has cancelled his trip.

“Lion Lager remains committed to producing a brilliant show on the 11th of October 2014.

The festival activities and line up remain unchanged.”

Local artistes scheduled to perform are Jah Prayzah, Legendary Sound, Judgement Yard, Tocky Vibes, Soul Jah Love, Shinsoman and Winky D. South Africa’s Uhuru is still coming for the show.

Didn't know Jamaicans, as black people with their long history of struggle and consciousness, are so ignorant as to label 'any country in Africa' the same!
