Kaindu leaves Bosso

HARARE - Kelvin Kaindu has tendered his resignation s Highlanders coach in the wake of the Bulawayo giants’ poor run in the Castle Premiership in recent weeks.

The Bulawayo giants’ dramatic loss of form ahead of the final stretch of the championship race continued on Sunday when they lost 1-3 to ZPC Kariba at Hartsfield Rugby Ground.

Violence erupted at the end of the match as Bosso fans pelted the pitch with missiles before police eventually used teargas to disperse the angry fans.

After the loss, Highlanders dropped to fourth place on the log and now trail log leaders Dynamos by seven points with six games to go before the season ends.

Kaindu’s resignation was a surprising turn of events after the coach had vowed to soldier on despite the stinging criticism from the club’s fans.

The Zambian arrived at Bosso at the start of the 2012 season and was an instant success as he led the club to a 23-match unbeaten run n his first season before losing the title to Dynamos on goal difference.

It was the same case last season when Bosso also took the title chase to the wire where they also lost to DeMbare on goal difference.
