Tocky Vibes a real talent

EDITOR— Zimbabweans are now very much addicted to our own type of music (Zim Dancehall) and as far as I can see no other artistes will make the crowds, especially the youths, go wild as long as they are not originally from Zimbabwe.

Well, this proves that we are concentrating more on promoting our own artistes although these upcoming artistes don’t have expensive equipment to use. The fact that we are producing our own music in the backroom of our houses and that the same low quality music is being played repeatedly on radio stations like ZiFm and even Radio Zimbabwe, proves that we are truly talented.

Thumbs up to Zim Dancehall artistes and salutations to Tocky Vibes — that one is really talented.

Tocky is the man of the moment and he is a true reflaction of our African values. The only man who goes for clean lyrics in the dancehall family. surprisingly he is shunned by other musicians because they dont feel comfortable with descent lyrics saka ndinoti AAAH AAAH HIHIHI TOCKY WANETSA

I have nothing against the Zim Dancehall Movement however i do not think we are doing the young ones a favour when we say their that the same low quality music is being played repeatedly on radio stations like ZiFm and even Radio Zimbabwe when the DJs do not really have a chance because of a mandatory 75% local content law. Let them battle it out on a level playing field with the acclaimed international artistes on radio.

I am not a dancehall fan but l should admit that Tokkie is truly talented. Paakwira hameno akadzika. A word of advice to the young man is stay away from all forms of indecency. Your song about your brother's wife luring you to sleep with her in the shower is a shame. It demonstrates lust and immaturity on your part.
