Zanu PF revels in graduation glory

HARARE - Zanu PF has congratulated five of its party members for graduating with various degrees from the University of Zimbabwe.

In a statement, Zanu PF secretary for information and publicity, Rugare Gumbo, said “Zanu PF wishes to pay homage to the second secretary and vice president of the party Dr Joice Mujuru and the First Lady Amai Dr Grace Mugabe for graduating with doctorate degrees yesterday (Friday) at the University of Zimbabwe.

“This demonstrates real leadership and is consistent with President Mugabe’s legacy of safeguarding, protecting and promoting education within Zimbabwe,” Gumbo said.

Education minister, Lazarus Dokora, deputy Women’s Affairs minister, Abigail Damasane, and Science and Technology deputy minister, Patrick Zhuwao, also graduated on Friday.

The trio is part of Zanu PF’s politburo and central committee.

Mugabe, Mujuru and Dokora graduated with doctorates in philosophy, while Damasane and Zhuwawo acquired masters in political administration and economics respectively.

He said that Zanu PF and the country in general was going to benefit from these “enormous” accomplishments by the five politicians, an aspect he said would enhance political, social and economic discourse.

“We urge all our young people to feel challenged by it and to realise that it is never too late to improve oneself educationally,” he said.

He further said the ruling party was looking forward from benefiting from the five’s academic improvement.

“In the same vein, we wish to applaud everyone else who graduated yesterday (Friday). They have our best wishes and we look forward to seeing their positive efforts towards the development of Zimbabwe,” Gumbo said.

Ma PHD aya haasisina zvaanoreva zvachose.SomuZimbabwe zvangove zvecorruption chete.Hapana kumwe kwazvinoitwa izvi. We don't even know in which field Grace got her first degree. We know she tried but dismally failed to get a degree in English from the UNIVERSITY OF LONDON. These well reputable academics don't give away degrees like what happens in ZANU PF led Zimbabwe. Grace's PHD is a mockery to meaningful education.

Grace was never to be out done by Mai Mujuru when Bob can fast track a degree for his wife. Fast tracking was not only for land.Even those expelled from secondary school can be fast tracked into university graduates as long as they are Gushungos.
