Who will make it into the Big Brother house?

HARARE - The long wait for Big Brother Africa “Hotshots” season will soon be over as on Sunday the housemates will be revealed to Africa and the world.

There are several celebrities’ names which are being floated around.

Doctor Clarence, a music producer is said to be on the list. He is a controversial character who last week sued the Chitungwiza Municipal Council for incompetence and disturbing his creativity.

He says he was harassed by council workers therefore his creative mental state was disturbed. He is suing them for $1 500.

He at some point claimed he had been arrested over being “Baba Jukwa”.  It was later established that he had been arrested over the possession of material of a sexual nature.

Another celebrity who is on the list is Taurai Mandebvu.

The singer faced murder charges after he and his family attacked a robber who had broken into their house and later died of injuries sustained in the attack.

He was acquitted after the State withdrew charges because of glaring inconsistencies found in witness statements.

Mandebvu has hit songs that include Betterman, Nyeredzi, Hana, December and many others. He rose to fame during the time the 75 percent local content on radio was being fully enforced.

Hillary Indi who is currently being sued by a couple in Harare for fraud is also said to be vying for the slot. He is said to have misled the couple by saying he was Bona Mugabe’s wedding planner and he misrepresented figures and receipts.

Cynthia Mare is rumoured to be on the list as well. Mare is a musician who has just returned from the United Kingdom. Her hit song Zuva Rimwe introduced her to the Zimbabwean market. She is a nurse by profession.

Tawanda Mugodhi aka Goridhe is also said to have made the second round. Mugodhi is also a musician and has songs including Tanyaradzwa, Kadeya-deya, Hameno Rudo which he did with Yoz and Shinsoman.

His funny character, Goridhe features on radio where he will be letting people in on gossip in the music industry, as well as making listeners laugh.

Musician, Thomas “CST” Chizhanje is also on the list. Although he is not widely known, he made it to the second round of the auditions.

His songs are Ichi Chipo and Maziswaga Shona Dueces.

DJ Butterphly Phunk is another female celebrity on the list. She is a radio DJ on ZBC’s Power FM. Not much is known about the DJ but sources say her bubbly character is suitable for the BBA experience.

Jefferson Muserera, a former ZBC presenter is also on the list.

Multichoice Zimbabwe publicity and public

relations manager Liz Dziva said they do not have the list as the interviews are conducted by Endomol.

“We only facilitate, but we don’t know who is going. It will be a surprise when the names come out for all of us,” she said.
